The Oil Town festival returned to Tennyson Park in Smackover on Saturday for the first time since 2019, filling the park with local vendors, food trucks, live music and fun activities for the entire day. A mid-day rainstorm postponed activities but events were set to continue after the storm subsided. Activities were numerous and included a petting zoo, an arm wrestling contest, a rib cook-off, a drill bit toss and much more. Live acts such as Trey Gauthreaux and the Boomer Hill Band provided music as crowds thronged the park looking to join in on the fun. The event was organized by the City of Smackover and the Smackover Chamber.
