El Dorado downed at Hot Springs Lakeside

HOT SPRINGS — Hot Springs Lakeside stumbled out of the gates, but March has been a completely different story for the Rams.

On Tuesday, Hot Springs Lakeside got a combined no-hitter from Harrison Barmore and Grady Ohman in a 10-0 win over El Dorado in 5A South play.

The duo combined for four strikeouts with Barmore pitching the first four innings before Ohman came on in relief.

The Rams scored a pair of runs in the first to take an early lead before breaking the game open with six runs in the fifth.

Mitchell Polk and Holden Lowry drew walks for the Wildcats.

Lowry took the loss after allowing nine hits and seven runs over 4 1/3 innings.

He walked one and didn’t record any strikeouts.

The Rams (6-4, 2-3), who had 15 hits, won their fourth straight and are 5-2 this month with games against Sylvan Hills on Thursday and Sheridan on Friday to close the month.

The Wildcats (6-6, 4-2) have lost four straight since winning at Texarkana on March 11.

El Dorado hosts Lake Hamilton on Thursday.
