HOT SPRINGS - El Dorado’s tennis season came to an end Monday in the 5A South Tournament. Jarret Baker advanced to the second round of boys’ singles and Daphny and Avelyn Chen advanced to the second round of girls’ doubles.
Baker beat White Hall’s Cole Carnes 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 in the first round before falling to Sheridan’s Spann 6-0, 6-1 in the second round.
The Chen sisters downed Lake Hamilton’s Qualls and Clark in the first round 4-6, 7-5, 7-5 before falling to Lakeside 6-0, 6-0.
El Dorado’s Tristan McDougald lost to Texarkana’s Andrew Tye 6-0, 6-0.
Ched Passmore and Noah Johnson lost to Texarkana 6-0, 6-0. Jordan Coleman and David Valero lost to Lakeside 6-0, 6-0.
The Lady Wildcats’ Sidney Johnson lost to Benton’s Jenna Collins 6-1, 6-2. Aspen Preston lost to Lakeside’s Campbell Wood 6-0, 6-0. Sarah Kellett and Kailey Gardner fell to Lakeside 6-0, 6-0.
