Wayne D. Hargraves, Sr., 86, of Lillie, LA passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at his home.
Wayne was born October 29, 1936 in Dyess, AR to the union of Warner Hargraves and Opal Kitchel Hargraves.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Aris Hargraves, a sister and baby brother.
Wayne was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was former manager for Manville Particle Board Plants and former owner and operator of Hargraves Custom Slaughter and Farms. He loved to garden and give away potatoes, and hunt and fish especially turkey hunting with his friend David Cunningham.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Hargraves, two daughters, Wanda Brown and husband Don, Patty Lawson, one son, Wayne Hargraves, Jr., and wife Karen, one brother, Warnuel Hargraves, eight grandchildren, Holly Hargraves, April Mayfield and husband Jerrod, Cody Brown and wife Sarah, Alicia Lochala and husband Ricky, Justin Hargraves and wife Nancy, Jake Hargraves and wife Katlyn, Sarah Scoggins and husband Cody, and Kayla Hargraves, fifteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Bethel Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Farris officiating. Interment will be in the Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Junction City, AR
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Bethel Baptist Church, 1048 Bethel Church Road, Lillie, LA 71256
