The South Arkansas College baseball team is welcomed home yesterday afternoon following its participation in the JUCO World Series. In this, their second year of existence, the Stars won their regional title and district title, being one of 10 teams to qualify for the NJCAA Division II national tournament in Enid, Oklahoma, known as the JUCO World Series. After winning their opening two games, they dropped the next two, losing to Lansing (Michigan) Community College on Tuesday night and being eliminated. The finish placed them in the top five DII teams in the nation. A crowd of about 100 awaited the student-athletes as they rolled into campus yesterday afternoon.
